I just returned from Carlisle Pennsylvania where the biggest Corvette show in the country is. I think that it’s sort-of like Woodstock because everyone is there to have a good time and no one robs anyone, people help one another and talk to people that they don’t know. I took 275 pictures of corvettes and that was only ten percent of all the corvettes there. My father and I are building a 1975 Stingray for my mom which is taking forever because he doesn’t have the time. We saw a 1975 that was really nice and almost bought it but that would defeat the purpose of us building a corvette. For those who don’t know what Carlisle looks like here is a YouTube video that are at Carlisle. At the show their was a Dyno machine that keeps the car stationary and the wheels are on a conveyor belt sort-of thing and it tested its horsepower. This YouTube video shows a C5 with a supercharger on the Dyno machine. My father and I were on the other side of the machine looking at the horsepower which toped out at 505, more than twice the power of a 06′ BMW! Also their was a burnout competition which took out the quarter panel of a brand new C6. That video here.

Baseball vs. Brother
Posted in Life, Sports on August 23, 2007 by RyanMy first blog entry is about yesterday and it’s “incident.” We have a backstop and it keeps balls from going into the woods, which is downhill. So my brother is pitching to me and it is right down the middle, he doesn’t pitch well so I’ll take what I can get. So this pitch is just a beauty and the hit was a beauty that Derek Jeter would be proud of. Right back to where it was delivered. Knocks him to the ground. Hit him right under his eye on his cheek bone. Had a black eye but he just shook it off. You could see the laces imprinted on his cheek. So in the end he didn’t go to the hospital and he just had a swollen cheek. Now he won’t pitch real baseballs to me. For good reason, dont get me wrong, but at least he can pitch me a wiffle ball!
